Shima Mahdavi Izadi

She completed her undergraduate degree at the Department of Dental Medicine at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm in 2002. She then worked in general practice in Sweden and continued in general practice for a further seven years after moving to the UK in 2003. During the latter two years, she taught clinical dentistry to undergraduate students at the Dental Institute at King's College London.
Shima was accepted onto the three-year, full-time specialist programme in endodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute at UCL. During that time, she treated referral patients for complex surgical and non-surgical root-canal procedures. She obtained her master’s in Clinical Dentistry (Endodontics) after two years and, after a further year, completed her final and specialist year of training.
After passing the MEndo examination at the Royal College of Surgeons, she was admitted to the GDC’s specialist list.
