Training and qualifications
Dr Laura McLaughlin graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007 with a bachelor’s in dental surgery. She has followed this up with a postgraduate diploma in conscious sedation from Newcastle University in 2011 and a diploma in implant dentistry and membership in implant dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Laura has focused her career on developing expertise in oral surgery, completing postgraduate training through the General Professional Training scheme.
Treatments offered
Laura developed a particular interest in oral surgery and caring for nervous patients early in her career. She has been placing implants independently since 2018 and has been a qualified seditionist for over 15 years.
Laura enjoys all aspects of oral surgery, particularly complex procedures such as bone grafting and sinus augmentation. She is committed to ongoing professional development to deliver the best outcomes for her patients.
She loves building a good rapport with all her patients and finds this allows her to more readily educate patients on their dental health, as well as empower them to make informed decisions about their treatment. Laura takes great job satisfaction in helping patients through treatments with TLC or additional sedation procedures, and she is always so happy to hear their positive feedback.
