Training and qualifications
Tom moved to London from Nottingham in 2001 to study dentistry at the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, graduating in 2006. He then spent 18 months as a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery before working in special care and community dentistry for a year.
Tom’s interest in orthodontics propelled him to study for an MSc in Orthodontics (2011) at the Royal London Hospital Dental Institute, and subsequently the MOrth exam at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He then joined the Genera Dental Council’s specialist list in orthodontics.
Tom sat the ISFE in orthodontics and is now a clinical lecturer in orthodontics at the Royal London Hospital Dental Institute, and locum consultant in orthodontics in Queens Hospital, Romford.
Tom is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and maintains a keen interest in staying up to date with the latest developments in orthodontics.
