Originally from Porto, Portugal, José Fontes is a highly experienced implantologist and oral surgeon based in London, with a particular focus on complex dental implant cases and advanced surgical procedures. José began his career in healthcare as a nurse, developing a strong foundation in compassion and patient care before transitioning into dentistry.

He later specialised in implantology and oral surgery, bringing a unique, full-circle perspective to his clinical work. José has pursued extensive postgraduate education, including a master’s degree in Implantology and multiple advanced surgical training programmes across Europe and the United States. His training spans regenerative implant dentistry, periodontal and plastic surgery, microsurgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures, ensuring he remains at the forefront of modern dental practice. José also is a member of the International Team for Implantology and regularly attends their meetings and congresses.
