Originally from Holywood, Northern Ireland, John Alton moved to Newcastle upon Tyne to study dentistry. After graduating from Newcastle University in 2011, John relocated to North London in 2019 to be closer to family and relatives.

John has undertaken extensive postgraduate education which has enhanced the level of care and number of treatment options he can offer his patients, such as dental implants and orthodontics. He has completed over 250 implant cases using Nobel Biocare implants and currently receives referrals across four clinics to provide implant assessment and treatment.

John currently uses TiUnite tapered implants from Nobel Biocare, and can provide all SAC classification implant cases and is proficient in bone grafting, socket grafting and GBR.

John often combines Invisalign and implant treatments as part of a comprehensive and holistic treatment plan for his patients. He particularly enjoys oral surgery and can offer quick and painless extractions and surgical extractions. He accepts referrals for failed extractions, and can offer minimal trauma extraction technique to preserve bone in view for implant therapy post extraction.

John is comfortable and proficient at planning and delivering high value and extensive treatment plans. These can range from advanced restorative dentistry full mouth rehabilitations involving crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, orthodontics, composite bonding, tooth whitening and implants, among other treatment options.
