Alan graduated in dentistry from Birmingham University in 2005. After a couple of years in general practice, he took up several hospital posts, gaining experience in all aspects of oral surgery and the treatment of anxious patients with dental sedation. At this time, he also passed the membership examinations of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Alan completed his training at Guys in 2018, passing with distinction.

He enjoys all aspects of endodontic treatment including vital pulp therapy, non-surgical and surgical treatments, resorption cases and dental trauma. His research at Guys was based around CBCT and outcome and he enjoys using CBCT to aid in the diagnosis and management of complex cases.

Alan is also happy to advise on restorative recommendations on completion of root canal treatment. He is happy to discuss any treatments with referring dentists if required.
