Dr Khurrum Hussain graduated from Manchester Dental Hospital in 2009. Whilst studying, he was awarded a prize for his operative skills. He went on to develop his surgical skills with several of the oral and maxillofacial departments across East Lancashire. The challenge of achieving both functional and aesthetic outcomes following surgical therapy led him to explore the art of periodontics.
He has been trained in periodontology to a specialist level at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Institute- University College London (UCL), one of the most recognised courses for this field. He is a specialist in periodontics, certified by the General Dental Council (GDC). He is also part of the European Federation of Periodontics (EFP). Khurrum has worked in specialist practice, limited to periodontics, for several years. He now enjoys sharing his experiences, as he also teaches at postgraduate level at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital.
He joined the Malt House Specialist Dental Centre in 2018 and spends his time at the practice treating patients with periodontal challenges. He aims to educate and motivate his patients about their conditions and is having some excellent results with periodontal treatments and the management of peri-implant diseases.
