Dr Adnan Safdar is an experienced dentist, currently working as part of the team at Moreton Dental Care. Adnan has a particular interest and expertise in placing dental implants, helping to restore smiles and bite function.

Training and qualifications

Dr Adnan Safdar graduated from King's College London in 2008. While studying at King's, he undertook an additional year of study for which he attained a First Class (Hons) BSc degree as well as a distinction for his research.

Adnan then embarked on a journey to develop his skills and broaden his perspective in dentistry. He worked in the oral and maxillofacial surgery departments in Northwick Park Hospital, London, and Wexham Park Hospital in Slough. Following this, Adnan completed a restorative dentistry post in the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield, and then worked as a specialty dentist in restorative dentistry in Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.

Working under the guidance of leading consultants, professors and colleagues in these specialist departments enabled Adnan to learn the latest techniques in managing all sorts of cases of varying complexity.

Adnan eventually moved to Manchester, spending several years in NHS dentistry before ultimately working fully in private practice, where he continued his enthusiasm for learning and building his skills, offering a high standard of care to his patients. He completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dentistry (Tipton Training) and an MSc in Dental Implantology with Merit (University of Manchester).

Since completing his MSc in 2015, Adnan has developed a passion for placing dental implants. He has attended numerous courses on this area of dentistry as well as those providing more advanced surgical training, both in the UK and internationally. Many of these have been taught by industry and world-leading clinicians in their field.

Treatments offered

Adnan has spent the past few years exclusively providing dental implants and cosmetic dental treatments to patients. He also undertakes advanced bone grafting, bone regeneration and sinus grafting procedures for his patients. This means he can deal with some of the most complex dental implant cases and can also offer full mouth restorations including 'all on 4’, ‘teeth in a day’ and ‘same day smile’ treatments.

We are delighted that Adnan has joined our implant team here at Moreton Dental Care bringing his expertise and care. He looks forward to being able to provide an exceptional level of service to all his patients.

Adnan is friendly, approachable, down to earth and strives to look after his patients in the best way possible. Away from dentistry, Adnan enjoys spending time with his young family, socialising with friends, travelling, trekking, playing football, reading and supporting Leicester City Football Club.
