Since qualifying in 2000, Ahmed has gained considerable experience and specialist skills in all areas of restorative dentistry including implant dentistry, endodontics and fixed/removable prosthodontics at several UK hospitals and practices.
While Ahmed was at St George’s Hospital, London, he was awarded Specialist in Restorative Dentistry and all three monospecialties (fixed/removable prosthodontics, endodontics and periodontics). He was later appointed clinical and surgical head and neck fellow, gaining additional specialist surgical and restorative experience in head and neck cancer oral rehabilitation.
Since 2012, Ahmed has been practising as a consultant in restorative dentistry and oral/facial rehabilitation at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, having published and lectured widely in specialist fields both nationally and internationally.
Ahmed is a specialty advisor in restorative dentistry (Yorkshire) and a recognised Member and Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
His specialist interests and skills centre around 15 years of clinical experience in the treatment of simple and complex dental implant rehabilitation, fixed/removable prosthodontics and the restorative dentistry/oral surgery interface.
