Ashley qualified at King’s College London in 1992 and has since worked in general practice. He founded The Smile Centre Canterbury over 20 years’ ago.
He has spent many years travelling the world, visiting other dental practices and factories, to find innovative and reliable dental products and techniques. Ashley has always adopted technology and as such was one of the first dentists to introduce digital X-rays, lasers and CAD/CAM dentistry in the South East.
He is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and is co-director of his local study group. He is also a mentor for the Straumann Implant system, introducing new clinicians to this exciting area of dentistry.
Ashley works most of the week at The Smile Centre Canterbury, where his emphasis is dental implant placement and complex restorative techniques. He also provides implant treatment at Bupa Dental Care Canary Wharf.
He is a keen cyclist and, every two years, cycles 500 miles in five days to raise money for small dental charities. He has also travelled to Ghana and Greece to treat underprivileged patients and refugees for voluntary health organisations.
