Neel has a keen interest in restorative dentistry and composite bonding. He qualified with distinction from the University of Bristol in 2018, prior to undertaking his foundation year in Essex.

Neel then spent six months working in community dental services in Cardiff, treating paediatric patients and those with additional needs. After his community dental work, Neel spent six months working in the restorative department of Cardiff Dental Hospital and supervising dental students working in oral surgery. Following this, he spent 12 months working in Southwest England (Taunton, Exeter, Bridgwater and Yeovil), providing restorative treatment to head and neck cancer patients as well as patients with congenital abnormalities. The other half of his time was spent providing oral surgery and maxillofacial treatment.

In 2021, Neel completed a postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education and completed a diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
