After spending a number of years in general dental practice, where Eduardo also tutored dental students, he did three years' full-time specialist training in endodontics at the University of Gothenburg.

Eduardo was admitted to the UK General Dental Council's specialist list in endodontics in 2007. Besides English, he speaks Spanish, Swedish, and Portugese.
