Training and qualifications
Ifigeneia completed a two-year MSc (1999-2001) in Clinical Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry at the Turner Dental School at the University of Manchester. Prior to this, Ifigeneia gained her dental degree from the Medical University of Sofia in 2008 and completed her statutory examinations at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Her career has included a wide range of roles in private general and restorative dentistry and referral based endodontics, and she also held a part time role in paediatric dental trauma clinic at Manchester Dental Hospital under Professor Ian Mackie between the year 2000 and 2003.
Earlier in her career, Ifigeneia worked in respected practices across the North West, including several specialist endodontic clinics. Ifigeneia was also principal dentist and director of a dental practice providing general, cosmetic and endodontic services.
Ifigeneia has contributed to postgraduate education and research through presentations at British Endodontic Society meetings and international conferences. Her published work includes studies on endo-periodontal lesions and the microbial ecology of the root canal system, and she remains committed to ongoing professional development.
Treatments offered
Since 2021, Ifigeneia has worked at Smile Club as an associate, providing general dentistry to her own patients that have followed her over the years. She also provides endodontic treatment on an internal referral basis.
Ifigeneia speaks Greek, English, Bulgarian, German and Russian. Outside her professional life, Ifigeneia enjoys swimming, yoga, Pilates, tango, cooking, reading and creative activities such as playing guitar and singing.
