Training and qualifications
Mohammed graduated from Cardiff University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2012. Following his foundation training in Suffolk, Mohammed moved back to Kent where he has been working in general dental practice for the past 10 years.
During this time, Mohammed has placed a great emphasis on postgraduate education, undertaking formal qualifications and continued professional development courses. Mohammed has undertaken further training in oral surgery, achieving a certificate qualification in 2016 with the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK).
During his time in practice, Mohammed has developed a special interest in root canal treatment, undertaking a master’s degree in this field in 2019. Alongside working in practice, Mohammed achieved a MSc with merit in 2022 from Queen Mary University, and can accept internal and external referrals for complex root canal treatment.
As well as his skills in endodontics and oral surgery, Mohammed has completed several courses covering many aspects of restorative dentistry, and he continues to regularly update his knowledge and skill set. He advocates for minimally invasive dentistry, preserving tooth structure while providing crowns, onlays, bridges, complex root canal treatment and cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening.
Having worked for Bupa Dental Care in Longfield for the last five years, Mohammed has now joined the team at Bupa Dental Care Cranbrook and is available on Monday (evening appointments available) Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
