Training and qualifications
Christine Wanis graduated from King’s College London Dental Institute with honours and completed her three-year specialty training programme in oral surgery. She is a registered specialist in oral surgery on the GDC specialist list. Christine is currently a consultant oral surgeon and honorary clinical lecturer at The Eastman Dental Institute, UCLH.
Christine holds membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery and the tri collegiate membership of oral surgery from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She also holds a postgraduate degree in dental education and currently teaches and examines undergraduate and postgraduate dentists.
Christine has published in several peer reviewed journals and has presented her work in national and international dental and surgical conferences.
Treatments offered
Currently, Christine works in both primary and secondary care. Her clinical interests include surgical exodontia, third molars, soft tissue lesions, management of jaw cysts, surgical endodontics, as well as the management of anxious patients under conscious sedation.
In her spare time Christine enjoys travelling and runs her own dental charity ‘Mobile Smiles’ which volunteers dental services to those less privileged in rural Africa.
