Originally from Cowbridge, Andrew graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Science in Cardiff in 2006. He then continued his studies at the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry in Plymouth, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2012. After qualifying as a dentist, Andrew undertook a postgraduate course in Primary Dental Care with the University of Kent.

Since his studies, he has worked as a dentist in Kent and as a locum dentist in practices across South Wales.
