Dentist Aleksandra Tobiszewska
Hello, my name is Aleksandra Tobiszewska and I am a general and infant dentist at Dental Confidence.
Although I provide a wide range of general dentistry.
This is your basic fillings, root canal treatments, crowns, bridges, all veneers.
My main area of expertise is surgical and implant dentistry.
This is to restore the missing teeth and give you back your smile.
So in terms of implants, you always have to think that implant becomes almost like your natural tooth.
You do take care of your teeth, you brush them, you floss them, you use intra dental brushes.
The same principles apply to the implants.
If you don't take care of it, it will suffer.
So it is very important to see hygienist in regular intervals.
It's minimum twice a year, so every six months.
And then maintain your oral hygiene, which is as I said before, brushing, flossing, using inter dental brushes and a bit extra which applies to the implant, which we call 360° flossing.
It's a special technique of flossing around the implant neck to disturb the plaque, which we instruct patients on that last appointment how to do it, how often they should do it, and that preserves the implants in the mouth.
Everyone is a bit nervous about pain and discomfort, but we do explain every single bit of the procedure beforehand, especially with the nervous patient.
So before I do the injection, we always use numbing gel as well, which takes that sting away.
And people are usually quite surprised.
Oh, that's already been done.
I haven't found anything.
So that is very helpful.
And then, yeah, we just try to listen to the patient and try to accommodate to what they need and how they want us to respond as well.
The most rewarding part of my job is actually seeing the smile on their faces upon finishing the treatment.
It's very good to feel that we can give them their confidence and smile back.
