Younes Khosroshahy has a special interest in oral and dental implant surgery, which has become his particular area of expertise.
I'm Younes
I'm one of the dentists here and I do implants.
I have a minimally invasive approach to dentistry.
That means that I try to keep the natural teeth as much as possible and as long as possible by providing different dental treatments.
But of course there comes a time that teeth fail.
and they need to be removed.
And that's the time that I restore these missing teeth and failing teeth with implants.
Typically do a lot of what's called all-on-four, which is placing 4 implants in the upper or the lower jaw.
If somebody has no teeth or they're going to lose their teeth.
The all-on-four procedure is a concept which is designed to place 4 implants in the jaw where there is a lack of bone.
And placing 4 implants here and here or here and here.
here, allow us to use the available bone at the front of the mouth and then not get into maybe more complex and aggressive treatments such as bone grafting or sinus grafting.
So it allows us to sort of find a solution for a patient that has very little bone to work with.
For our extensive implant patients, we do have sole use of our patient lounge, which is situated upstairs.
A lot of the time they're with us for over 6 hours of the day and we do have a private space for them to feel secure whilst they're waiting in between their appointments, which is purely for them and their chaperone.
We're very fortunate to have a very diverse team.
We have been established in some form for well over 100 years and there are lots of changes within the clinical landscape.
Hospital Lane is very much one of the few constants.
We're there to provide a complete care experience for our patients.
We are very fortunate at Hospital and Dental Clinic that we have put every specialist under one roof.
So we all perform a general checkup.
If we do spot problems that we can't deal with ourselves, we can refer to our colleagues at Hospital and Dental Clinic.
We've got people specialised in gum disease, we've got orthodontists here, we've got prosthodontists.
So we will normally do an internal referral and organise A consultation with a specialist at the practice.
We offer all forms of dental treatment for our patients, whether they are referred by clinicians,
whether they access their care directly, they can book online, they can call and book.
So some of our patients are referral-based and that comes directly from their general dental practitioner, but we do also accept self-referrals.
If they are being referred, then we do have a patient lead referral team that will aim to put them in with the best dentist to suit their needs.
The atmosphere at Hospital Lane Dental Clinic is really relaxed.
It's not like usual dental practices.
People don't initially think this is very clinical when they walk in.
The staff are really friendly and welcoming.
We are all accessible.
on the ground floor and we have a lift if they need to go upstairs.
The general feel is relaxed and secure and comforting for our patients.
Hospital Aid is able to offer a variety of payment options to make larger treatments more affordable and we offer group a smile plan,
alongside traditional pay-as-you-go services.
We also accept insurance customers, be that Bupa or other insurance providers.
Bupa Smile Plan is a monthly direct debit payment plan whereby the cost of your treatment for the year is broken down over 12 months and you pay it interest-free over that period.
Conveniently located on Bluebell Hill, adjacent to the M2 and M20 motorway junctions,
Hospital Ladies, the perfect solution to the smile you've always wanted.
