Laura studied dentistry at the University of Glasgow and qualified in 2005. She was awarded the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2007.
She completed a variety of senior house officer positions before pursuing her chosen speciality of orthodontics in 2009. She completed her speciality training and attained her Membership in Orthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. Laura has a doctorate in Orthodontics awarded by the University of Glasgow. She has also been awarded the prestigious TC White Lecture award for her research in the field of 3D forensic facial reconstruction.
Laura completed her consultant training in Orthodontics in 2017 and is a consultant and honorary senior clinical university lecturer at Glasgow Dental Hospital and the University of Glasgow.
