Dr. Umar Hamid is a skilled and dedicated dentist with 20 years of experience in oral surgery.

Training and qualifications

Umar obtained his qualification in 2002 in Pakistan and pursued advanced training in oral and maxillofacial surgery across reputable hospitals and trusts in the UK, including Manchester, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Nottingham.

With a fellowship in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a fellowship in Oral Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Dr. Hamid demonstrates his expertise in the field. Currently, he serves as a specialty doctor in oral surgery at King’s College Hospital in London. In this role, he actively contributes to the teaching and training of junior dentists, specialty registrars, and young consultants. He is a dedicated clinical teacher for BDS year four and year five students at King's College Hospital, London.

Driven by his commitment to excellence, Dr. Hamid pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education from the University of Bedfordshire. Furthermore, he is currently enrolled in an MSc program in oral implantology at the University of Bristol. His specialist clinical interest lies in medication-related osteonecrosis of the kawbone.

Dr. Hamid has made notable contributions to the field of Oral Surgery through his publications in reputable journals ,clinical audits and presentations in professional platforms. Apart from his professional pursuits, he is a proud father to two girls. In his spare time, he enjoys running and playing cricket.
