After qualifying, Smitha pursued a master's in public health research at the University of Edinburgh and while she continues to work as a research consultant for King's College London and the University of Edinburgh, dentistry is her primary passion.

Smitha joined the Practice in 2016 and prior to qualifying as a dentist in the UK, worked in a busy mixed practice in Bangalore India. She has experience in treating anxious patients.
