Training and qualifications
Ruth is competent in providing dental treatment under inhalation sedation and continues to complete further courses to ensure continued professional development. She has been a clinical supervisor at Peninsula Dental School since 2010, and after developing an interest in clinical education, obtained the position of lecturer in Community Based Dentistry at University of Plymouth Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers RCSEd, and member of the College of General Dentistry.
Treatments offered
Being awarded the Ash Award for the highest grade in final examinations and The Old Londoners Award for most supportive student. Clinically, Ruth has worked in general and private practice, dental hospitals and the salaried (community) dental service, treating a wide variety of patients including children, adults, those with a dental phobia or with additional needs. her current working week is divided between teaching at Peninsula Dental School and clinical work in general and private dental practice. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys pilates and ballet classes, visits to the theatre, music concerts and festivals.
