Nabel qualified as a dentist in 1996 and went on to work in both general dental practice and dental hospitals. He has a particular interest orthodontics, including self-ligating, surgical and hypodontia cases.

In 2000, Nabel undertook three years of postgraduate orthodontic training at Guy’s Hospital. He qualified in 2003 and was awarded a Master of Science Degree and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, allowing him to be registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council. He is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society.
