Ricardo has been a dentist for over 20 years and is experienced in restorative and surgical procedures. He places dental implants at our practice.

Ricardo began working with dental implants in 2005, and, in 2009, was awarded his master’s degree in Advanced Oral Implantology from the European University of Madrid. He has been working as a dentist with a focus on implants since 2010 and worked as an associate in various practices, including Harley Street, before joining us.

Ricardo's dental implant qualifications mean he’s performed a range of treatments from single tooth replacement to full mouth dental implants. He’s also qualified in several supporting techniques including bone augmentation, sinus lifts, guided bone regeneration and soft tissue grafting.

Ricardo often treats patients referred to the practice from other dentists. He has a good reputation in the area for his treatment of referral cases.

In 2000, Nabel undertook three years of postgraduate orthodontic training at Guy’s Hospital. He qualified in 2003 and was awarded a Master of Science Degree and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, allowing him to be registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council. He is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society.

Dr Shima Mahdavi-Izadi was accepted into a three-year specialist programme in endodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL.

She obtained her Master’s in Clinical Dentistry, completing her specialist training in 2014. The following year, she gained entry into the GDC’s specialist list.

Her research project has since been published in a scientific publication.

Previously, Dr Mahdavi-Izadi completed her undergraduate dental studies at Stockholm’s Karolinska Institute in 2002, and shortly after started her dental career. After moving to the UK in 2003, she worked in general practice for seven years and taught clinical dentistry part-time to undergraduate students at King's College Dental Institute.

In addition to attending conferences in the UK and abroad, she has lectured in various endodontic topics. She is currently a guest teacher in endodontics in the department of Continuing Professional Development at the Eastman Dental Institute.

Dr Mahdavi-Izadi's enthusiasm for her specialty and compassionate nature is reflected strongly in her approach to patient care. She welcomes referrals for endodontic treatment and has a particular interest in the management of complex cases and non-surgical root canal treatment.
