Training and qualifications
After moving to the UK in 2003, Shima worked in general practice for seven years and taught clinical dentistry part-time to undergraduate students at King's College Dental Institute. They are currently a guest teacher in endodontics in the department of Continuing Professional Development at the Eastman Dental Institute.
Treatments offered
Shima obtained their Master's in Clinical Dentistry, completing their specialist training in 2014. The following year, Shima gained entry into the GDC's specialist list. their research project has since been published in a scientific publication. Previously, Dr Mahdavi-Izadi completed their undergraduate dental studies at Stockholm's Karolinska Institute in 2002, and shortly after started Shima's dental career. In addition to attending conferences in the UK and abroad, they have lectured in various endodontic topics. Dr Mahdavi-Izadi's enthusiasm for their specialty and compassionate nature is reflected strongly in Shima's approach to patient care. They welcomes referrals for endodontic treatment and have a particular interest in the management of complex cases and non-surgical root canal treatment.
