During Denise's career, she has been a tutor to dental students at the University of Manchester, examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and also undertaken charity work in Tanzania for Bridge2aid.

After completing a degree in medical sciences, Denise went on to study dentistry. She has worked in Liverpool since qualifying and achieved a diploma in clinical dentistry in 2008. She has a keen interest in restorative dentistry and adult orthodontics and enjoys giving patients the ability to smile with confidence again, using the Cfast orthodontic system together with composite bonding. She has recently completed a master's in law and now works part-time as a legal advisor.
