Training and qualifications
After obtaining an honours degree in chemistry, Dr Ker completed his dental degree at Glasgow University in 2016 and soon began restoring implants in general private practice. He graduated top of his class from the British Academy of Implant and Restorative Dentistry and continues to attend further courses as a student and as a mentor. He is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) which has helped him stay up to date with evidence-based approaches. He prefers to use Straumann branded implants as well as modern surgical protocols, such as digitally planned surgical guides, osseodensification for softer bone and sinus lifting procedures, and immediate implant placement with bone grafting.
Treatments offered
Dr Ker has undertaken further education in key restorative disciplines such as occlusion, full mouth treatment planning, oral surgery and aesthetic smile design. In his general practice he also carries out endodontics, short-term orthodontics, composite bonding, crowns, bridges and veneers, lending to multi-disciplinary approaches for the benefit of his patients.
