Training and qualifications
Nik qualified from Cardiff Dental School in 1996 and gained experience in Essex for several years. Since moving back to his hometown of Sheffield 15 years ago, he has exclusively worked in private practice. During his time, he has helped patients restore their smiles and confidence.
He is passionate about ongoing professional development, specifically dental implantology and dental aesthetics.
Treatments offered
Nik has been placing and restoring implants since 2009, when he began his dental implant journey under the tutelage of the renowned Professor Ucer. Since then, he has attended multiple courses on modern implant treatments, most recently on the All-on-4 dental implant technique to replace full arches on the same day. Alongside this, Nik has also gained a diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons.
Nik also completes smile makeovers using both Invisalign aligners and Six Month Smiles orthodontic systems.
Nik provides sedation services for us here at Eckington, having completed his SAAD National Course in conscious sedation in 2003.
Nik is also a member and previous president of the South Yorkshire branch of the BDA (British Dental Association). Outside of clinical practice, Nik likes to keep fit, enjoys camping and the outdoors, and is a serving member of the Army Reserve.
Our treatment co-ordinator Paula Tideswell works with Nik to provide a seamless patient journey. The reception team will book a free chat with Paula to provide the patient with an overview of their prospective treatment and take them through their potential treatment journey. Paula will then book a full case assessment with Nik to form their clinical treatment plan.
