Cheryl graduated in 2002 from King's College London Dental Institute at Guy's, King's College and St Thomas' Hospitals, which is the largest university dental hospital in the UK.

She was offered the opportunity to stay on at Guy’s for a further year as a house officer. She then came to this practice in 2003 as a vocational trainee dentist and now remains as a fully qualified dentist.

In 2007, Cheryl obtained her membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons, and in 2013 she achieved the Royal College of Surgeons’ postgraduate diploma in restorative surgery.

Arathi is originally from India and qualified in 2004. She has an interest in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.

Arathi qualified at Rajiv Gandhi University in Bangalore in 2004, and worked as an intern in a dental hospital there before moving to the UK in 2006.

After passing her entry examinations and gaining registration with the UK’s General Dental Council, Arathi took up a post in the local area in 2009.

Although she practises general dentistry, Arathi also has an interest in minor adult orthodontics and is an accredited provider of the Inman Aligner adult brace system.

She is committed to her own postgraduate training and in 2012 completed a one-year course in contemporary restoration and cosmetic dentistry with Smile Concepts at the National Aesthetic and Implant Training Institute.

Arathi has a very calming presence in the dental surgery and is particularly good at helping nervous patients to overcome their worries.

Ralitsa holds a master’s degree in Dental Medicine from the Medical University Sofia and has also worked in Canada.

After graduating in 1999 from the Medical University, Sofia in Bulgaria with a master’s degree in Dental Medicine, Ralitsa worked as an intern in a dental hospital there before setting up her own practice.

She moved to Montreal, Canada in 2005, where she worked as a dental technician of removable orthodontic appliances at Bellomo-Lambert Ortho Labs. While there, she took further postgraduate dental courses at McGill University.

Ralitsa registered with the UK’s General Dental Council in 2009 and has been working in the UK since then. She joined our practice in 2018.

Ralitsa enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a special interest in orthodontics. She is an accredited provider of the Six Month Smiles adult brace system.

Besides practising dentistry, Ralitsa offers facial aesthetic treatments. She holds a certificate in Aesthetic Medicine from Queen Mary University of London.

Risha qualified from the King's College London School of Medicine and Dentistry at Guy's, King's College and St Thomas' Hospitals in 2012, and completed her foundation training year in South East London.

She then took the opportunity to work in a hospital environment, broadening her experience in the fields of oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics. She also completed examinations to attain Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Risha has undertaken research focused on the use of specialised imaging techniques and software in the management of endodontic (root canal) problems, and works in various practices to provide endodontic treatment on a referral basis.

No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
