Guillermo is our implant dentist who has postgraduate qualifications relating to implants. He accepts self-referrals and dentist referrals for implant treatment.

Training and qualifications

Guillermo studied dentistry at the European University of Madrid, qualifying in 2008. His interest in dental implants began the next year when he completed Nobel Biocare's one-year course in Dental Implantology at Cambridge University. In 2010, he went on to complete a Diploma of Restorative Dentistry at Leeds University.

While furthering his career in Madrid in 2011 and 2012, Guillermo completed a certificate in Dental Implantology. In 2013, he completed a two-year full-time master’s in Advanced Oral Implantology at the European University of Madrid in Spain. This involved two periods of training at New York University.

Treatments offered

Guillermo is now purely focused on dental implants and aesthetic dentistry, including complex full mouth implant rehabilitations, bone grafting, sinus lifts and soft-tissue management.

He is one of a few clinicians trained to do SMART (subperiosteal minimally invasive aesthetic ridge-augmentation technique) bone reconstruction. Special surgical instrumentation, training and certification are required to perform this technique, which is an alternative to traditional guided bone-regeneration procedures.
