Yvonna qualified at Guy's Hospital, London, in 1996. While working in their hospital position, they were awarded MFDS membership for the Royal College of Surgeons of England as well as Yvonna's diploma of membership in oral surgery. She later moved to Australia to undertake the position of lecturer in oral surgery at the University of Sydney, where she taught oral surgery as well as head and neck anatomy. Yvonna now works at a hospital in the oral and maxillofacial surgery unit, and is actively involved in postgraduate examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Scotland. Yvonna has completed many courses in forensic dentistry, life support and trauma and the SAAD course in sedation. In 2011, she was awarded an MSc in Implant Dentistry from Warwick University, where Yvonna's specialist project was on pain management following implant placement. They have also completed courses in facial aesthetics and can provide a range of services at our practice.

Following this, Yvonna Szysko completed vocational training in practice and hospital, working in senior house officer posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Yvonna currently is the chair for the membership of oral surgery postgraduate tri collegiate exam. Yvonna undertakes all aspects of oral surgery including wisdom tooth extractions, impacted canine tooth removal/exposure, biopsies, implant placement and sinus lifts with bone grafting. She also performs anti-wrinkle treatments and collagen injections.
