Hi, my name is Jude Ferreira.
I'm one of the endodontists at Bupa Dental Care at Bank.
We'd like to have a consultation with the patient before we start treatment and that's the best time for the patient to ask as many questions as they as they want to, to find out exactly what goes on.
By coming for the consultation, they get a full picture of what to expect and how the whole process will be carried out.
Usually the routines are done either in one or two visits.
The first visit is usually to clean out the tooth, get rid of the infection and pop some medicine inside the tooth and seal it up.
Then we leave it to heal for a couple of weeks.
Then they come back for the second visit, redo the cleaning, recheck everything, make sure everything is going in the right direction and then seal the tooth with the root filling for the patient.
Most of the time they either fall asleep in the chair or they they just sit there listening to their music and go off into another world.
Bupa is a great place to work because they look after you.
We have all the equipment that you could possibly need and in my specialty in endodontics we have a lot of gadgets that we use.
So we have a full range of equipment that we have at our disposal to to do any possible treatment that comes through the door.
You've got so many surgeons here and so many people who specialise in different things as well as general dentists who can look after the everything in one in one treatment.
But because this practise has got a lot of different people and different specialists, it's it's quite amazing for a patient to come here and get all their treatment done under one roof with a continuity of care.
Because we're all, we all talk to each other, we all meet each other, so we all can discuss plans for treatments and best way forward with particular treatment plans.
