Katie previously worked as a clinical educator for The University of Essex dental hygiene program. Since qualifying from The University of Essex, following her initial training to become a dental hygienist, she has completed a further one-year program at The University of Essex to become a dental therapist.

In late 2018, Katie also completed her foundation and advanced training in facial aesthetics. In 2017, she was a recipient of the British Association of Dental Therapists Outstanding Achievement Award. Katie is also a member of professional societies such as the General Dental Council, the Dental Defence Union and The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
