Stephen Taylor
GDC - 250894 BDS Newcastle University 2014 Dentist
Stephen uses modern and minimally invasive procedures to craft a natural smile for his patients, tailored to each individual. He uses the latest smile design techniques to deliver long-term aesthetic results.
Treatments and services
Stephen’s signature treatment involves working with patients who are experiencing tooth wear. It’s a condition that often requires complex treatment and considerable experience.
Stephen can also provide composite or porcelain veneers.
He prefers porcelain veneers because they maintain their appearance over time with no polishing required and can have a lifespan of up to around 20 years . Composite veneers have a more limited lifespan (usually between three to seven years) and require polishing and maintenance.
Stephen believes that porcelain veneers look as good on day 2000 as they do on day one and provide as close to a natural appearance as you can get. You can achieve impressive results with double the lifespan and less maintenance.
Training and qualifications
After qualifying from Newcastle University, Stephen relocated to Australia, where he worked for one year before returning to the UK and moving to Yorkshire.
Stephen has completed several highly commended postgraduate courses, concentrating on aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He’s working towards a postgraduate diploma in Contemporary Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. Stephen is one of the first dentists in the world to complete a postgraduate diploma in Occlusion and Porcelain Veneers.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys watching and participating in sports. He particularly enjoys football and rugby league, but he supports teams on the other side of the Pennines - Liverpool and St. Helens.
