Training and qualifications
After qualifying from Guy’s Hospital in 1990, Michael spent two years training in the maxillofacial surgery unit at Royal Surrey County Hospital. He then taught at the University of Sydney, becoming a clinical associate, and enrolled in a three-year full-time MSc at the University of Iowa, USA, in fixed, removable and implant retained prosthodontics. Michael has lectured on implant dentistry, both in the UK and internationally and his research in aesthetic ceramic materials won first place in a prize from the American College of Prosthodontists.
