Gavin Welsh

Gavin is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has a doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Edinburgh. He was awarded for his work with lasers in the diagnosis of tooth decay.
Gavin's special interests include the periodontal/restorative interface, and he has considerable experience in all aspects of restorative dentistry, having held clinical and academic appointments in Edinburgh, Newcastle, and Liverpool Dental Hospitals, and most recently as a consultant in restorative dentistry at the University of Manchester Dental Hospital. Gavin also spent time at Baylor College of Dentistry Clinic in Texas, and the Panum Institue University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Gavin has experience of innovative new techniques in periodontal tissue regeneration, and has a particular interest in the use of ceramic restorations in cosmetic and advanced restorative dentistry and the placement of Implants.
