Tim is heavily involved in endodontic and restorative postgraduate education, lecturing nationally and internationally. He runs hands-on courses and is happy to help host practitioners at the practice. Tim is a European clinical consultant for 3M as well as a certified endodontic and restorative trainer for Dentsply.

Tim qualified from the University of Bristol in 1988, winning the prosthetic prize and BDA medal for the highest clinical and academic results. He then spent several years in Bristol, working in practice, where he developed an interest in restorative dentistry, specifically endodontics and aesthetics. He moved to London in 1998 and helped set up the Thayer Street Dental Centre. He has over 20 years of experience in private dental practice.

After setting up Thayer Street Dental Centre, in 1999, Tim completed the certificate in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute. He continued his studies at the institute, subsequently gaining a diploma in Restorative Dentistry (distinction) and a master’s degree in Restorative Dental Practice (also with distinction).

As well as being on the specialist registrar for endodontics, Tim has a keen interest in all aspects of restorative dentistry and takes referrals for restorative cases, with many being related to TMJ and occlusal problems.

He is an active member of several dental organisations including The British Endodontic Society, The International Team for Implantology (ITI) and The British Society for Restorative Dentistry.

He is also former secretary and past president of the London Dental Study Club and an editorial board member of The Probe Dental Journal. In 2008, Tim was made a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Tim is joint study club director of one of the Central London ITI study clubs as well as an ITI mentor, helping with postgraduate training.
