If you've got Bupa Dental Insurance. You can choose how you make a claim, whether it's for preventative, restorative, emergency, or oral cancer treatment.
For preventative treatment, you can submit a claim via the My Bupa app.
Just upload your receipt or invoice and follow the in-app instructions on your phone or tablet to complete your claim. You can also do this on your computer.
For other types of treatments, you'll need to submit a little more information. Follow the same steps and upload a receipt that includes your dentist's name, practice name and postcode. The name of the person being treated, confirmation that treatment has taken place and proof that you have paid for the treatment.
Some Bupa dental practices also offer Instant Claim, a service that means we can pay the practice directly up to your benefits allowances. Just let the receptionist know after your appointment and leave the rest to us.

What does my dental insurance cover?
We have two dental insurance options for you to choose from.
Dental Plan
This plan helps you stay on top of your oral health with five different levels of cover, and a dentist of your choice. You can claim for two check-ups per year in every year you have cover with us.
Dental Choice
Bupa Dental Choice helps you stay on track with your smile. In this plan, we list dental treatment by cost so you know how much you can claim for each treatment.

Bupa Oral Healthline
Discuss an emergency, get a second opinion or book a guaranteed appointment with a Bupa dentist. Calls are free and don’t affect your benefit allowance.
Extensive cover
You’re covered for dental injuries and emergencies, as well as restorative treatment. That’s things like fillings, crowns, or bridges. We also offer comprehensive oral cancer cover as standard*.

You can then claim the costs back up to your benefit allowance.

Please note we do not cover oral cancer that was diagnosed or for which you had symptoms or investigations before your cover start date. However, if your employer is transferring from another provider, we will provide continuous cover if you had dental insurance via this scheme.
