How to submit an NHS claim on Bupa Touch

Submit your claim based on the dental treatment you have had which will be paid up to your benefit allowance. So when you claim, list each treatment you have had and submit with your itemised receipt.

For a full list of treatments please refer to your guide (on the table of cover). But to show you how it works, here are some examples of the most popular treatments.

Routine Check-ups


Claiming for a check-up using the NHS would come under Band 1 and costs £23.80 in England NHS Band charges may be different depending on where you live.

What you need to do:

  • Claim £23.80 from the 'routine examination benefit'.

This is a total of £23.80 and means your NHS Band 1 claims of £23.80 would be paid in full.

Fillings


Claiming for a filling when using the NHS would come under Band 2 and costs £65.20 in England NHS Band charges may be different depending on where you live.

What you need to do:

  • Claim £23.80 from the 'routine examination benefit'.
  • Claim £41.40 from the 'filling benefit'.

This is a total of £65.20 and means your NHS Band 2 claims of £65.20 would be paid in full.

Root canal


Claiming for a root canal when using the NHS would come under Band 2 and costs £65.20 in England NHS Band charges may be different depending on where you live.

What you need to do:

  • Claim £23.80 from the 'routine examination benefit'.
  • Claim £41.40 from the 'root canal benefit'.

This is a total of £65.20 and means your NHS Band 2 claims of £65.20 would be paid in full.

Crowns


Claiming for a crown using the NHS would come under Band 3 and costs £282.80 in England NHS Band charges may be different depending on where you live.

What you need to do:

  • Claim £23.80 from the 'routine examination benefit'.
  • Claim £45.20 from the 'root canal benefit' (if you had this treatment).
  • Claim £213.80 from the 'crown benefit'.

This means you submit your claim for £282.80 and we will pay £279 toward the treatment.
