Training and qualifications
Abs Casaus is a consultant in paediatric dentistry at Leeds Dental Hospital and honorary senior lecturer at the University of Leeds. He undertook his specialist training in paediatric dentistry in Birmingham and was awarded a Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2018.
Abs also has a particular interest in dental trauma and his work in this field has been recognised Internationally through the award of numerous prizes from prestigious bodies such as the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry, International Association of Dental Traumatology and European Society of Endodontics. Finally, Abs is a quality assurance consultant for the Immersify education app focusing on improving the delivery of remote undergraduate paediatric dentistry teaching.

Abs is passionate about caring for anxious children and young people and often uses the latest video technology to make dental treatment more enjoyable for these patients. He has extensive experience in the provision of sedation as a means of facilitating treatment for dentally anxious children.
