Dawn returned to the UK after spending three years in South East Asia, where she was a tutor and lecturer in dental clinical academia at the University of Brunei. She was involved in setting up the first dental training programme in the country. She now continues to advise undergraduate dental students in the UK.

She graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2003, and completed her postgraduate diploma in Oral Surgery, Tooth Wear and Oral Medicine at Bristol University in 2010. She became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2017.

Dawn is particularly interested in dental aesthetics, and completed the aesthetics masterclass at the London Eastman Dental Institute in 2015. She is currently studying for her master’s in dental aesthetics.
