A big hello from our practice manager, Cheryl Ettery

We offer a wide range of dental services under one roof, and our big goal is to take the stress out of going to the dentist.

We like to be helpful, so we’re open every day (yes, seven days a week), and we take emergency appointments – even on a Sunday, even if you’ve never been before. And we believe in consistency, so once you’re happy with your dentist, you get to keep them!

We offer a broad range of advanced and restorative dentistry, and can handle some fairly complex cases. We do dental implants, root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, teeth straightening (orthodontics), and smile makeovers.

Nervous patients

We understand how tough it can be if you’re anxious or even phobic about going to the dentist. Lots of nervous patients come to us because we really do get it. We believe in ‘gentle dentistry’ and may be able to offer conscious sedation during treatment. In reception, adult colouring books and stress balls can help take your mind off things.

Comfortable, relaxing surroundings

You can’t miss our lovely rounded white building with its bright blue awnings, just off Sidwell Street. We’ve made sure it’s a nice place to come: when you arrive, our friendly receptionists will welcome you and take your coat. While you wait, you can sink into a comfy sofa with a cup of coffee and pick up a glossy magazine. Music and fresh flowers make this seem like anywhere but a dental surgery.

We get a lot of dentist referrals

We welcome referrals from general practice dentists across Exeter and the whole of the South West.

Branded treatments and services

Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

No, Bupa Dental Care practices are open to everyone. If you do have Bupa dental insurance, at selected practices we can guide you through your claim.

First, please check that our practice offers the services you’re looking for, then simply use the referral form on our contact page. Do feel free to give us a call and tell us what you’re looking for.
