Training and qualifications

Angus Pringle studied dentistry at Glasgow University, graduating with honours in 2001 after achieving numerous distinctions, prizes and awards.

Angus believes that listening to his patients’ needs to allow him to undertake the right treatment is key. His main principle is to treat patients like he would like to be treated, with sensitivity to their needs and effective communication to deliver the results they desire.

Angus fulfilled a life-long ambition to become an orthodontist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and UCL Eastman Dental Institute. He obtained his MSc in orthodontics having achieved distinctions in both academic and clinical areas, and also achieved membership in orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Angus undertook further training to become a hospital consultant at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth and The Bristol Dental School, achieving the intercollegiate speciality fellowship in orthodontics and affiliating with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He then worked as an orthodontic consultant at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester and Worthing Hospital until 2013.

During his career, Angus has achieved many prizes and awards, including the 3M Unitek Orthodontic Prize and Howard Tonge Award, for his academic and clinical work. In 2023 he was awarded the Everyday Hero award for being an extraordinary Orthodontist from Bupa Dental Care. In 2024 he was the area winner of Self-Employed Orthodontist of the year at Bupa Dental Care. He has also published in peer reviewed professional journals and lectured nationally and internationally.
