Benedict 'Ben' Davies

Ben achieved his initial Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005 (MFGDP UK) and was a senior house officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth before going on to complete three years of further training as a specialist registrar in oral surgery in Portsmouth.
Ben completed specialist training in 2008, which gained him the Speciality Diploma of Membership in Surgical Dentistry (MSurgDent) of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In the same year, he was awarded a master’s degree (with distinction), in Healthcare Management and was registered as a specialist in oral surgery by the General Dental Council.
In 2015, Ben was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and, more recently, in 2018, he was awarded a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education to support his role as a trainer of future specialists in oral surgery.
Ben's continuing professional development remains very active, with him attending courses and conferences regularly both in the UK and internationally. Recent highlights for him were his experiences learning from world renowned experts at the University of Bern in Switzerland and at Harvard University in the USA.
He shares his skills as an oral surgeon through involvement in the teaching of oral surgery to other dentists. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology, the British Dental Association and the British Association of Oral Surgeons.
Ben is happily married with two young children and in his spare time enjoys running, cycling, tennis and golf.
