Training and qualifications
Michael gained his BDS in dental surgery at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and earned his master’s degree in dentistry at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He later became a GDC registered specialist periodontist, co-founding TDC (Total Dentalcare) Implant Centres with his brother, Dr Anthony Zybutz in 2010.
Accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, he has been placing dental implants in the UK for over 30 years.
Michael has trained dentists at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and lectured on implantology internationally. He is the past President of The American Dental Society of London.
Along with Anthony, Michael is well-known for his appearances on TV, on the Discovery Channel, ITV and Channel 5’s Botched Up Bodies as the oral surgeon reversing the effects of poor dental work.

Michael restores teeth and smiles using the smile in a day procedure - an advanced and skilled technique where dental implants and a full set of fixed, natural-looking teeth are placed in a single day.
The multiple surgical procedures (extractions, bone grafts, implant placement) and months of healing time that are needed with traditional implant procedures can be condensed into a matter of hours.
Patients leave at the end of the surgery day with secure, fixed teeth that look and function just like natural teeth. These new teeth are exchanged for the final, long- lasting set once the healing process is complete (about three months later), at a non-surgical appointment.
Michael is one of the few UK dentists with the skill and experience to place zygomatic (cheekbone) implants, and regularly accepts referrals from general dentists for his skills.
