Our dental implant services
At Bupa Dental Care Brackley, our team has been placing dental implants for over 25 years.
Our implant services
Our implant dentist, Pete, has been placing dental implants since 2002. Pete will put you at ease and give you a new smile.
We provide a full range of implant dentistry, from single dental implants, to full arch restorations. Whether you need a single implant or a full row of teeth replaced, we’ll be happy to help.
Supporting treatments such as bone grafts and sinus lifts are also available at the practice. These procedures are sometimes needed before you have implants placed.
We accept referrals from other dentists for our implant treatments. Refer a patient.
A caring approach
We understand that the thought of having implants can be daunting. Our caring team will be with you throughout the procedure. We’ve worked with nervous patients for many years and are on-hand to support you if needed.
Dental implants can last as long as natural, healthy teeth if you care for them properly. We put a focus on aftercare and our hygienists will help you look after your new smile in the long-term.
Our implant nurse and practice manager are also our treatment coordinators, and they’ll be there through every step of your implant journey. After your procedure, we’ll call you regularly to make sure everything’s healing well and you can ask us any questions you might have.
Dental implants from £2,400†
At our practice, we offer a single dental implant from £2,400†, including a free* initial phone consultation with an experienced enquiry coordinator. If you’re interested in having implants, get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help.
Implant procedure
Learn about the step-by-step treatment process for having dental implants, from your initial consultation right through to aftercare.
First, you’ll have a free* phone consultation with one of our dedicated treatment coordinators. We’ll talk you through your options, give you an indication of price and can book you in for an initial assessment with your implant dentist if you choose to go ahead.
Clinical assessment
Next, you’ll have a clinical assessment to make sure you’re eligible for treatment. Your dentist will take X-rays and decide exactly where your implants need to be placed. They’ll also talk you through the cost of treatment and let you know if you need a supporting treatment, such as a bone graft.
Placing your implants
This is where your dental implants are fixed into your jawbone. It’s a surgical procedure normally performed under local anaesthetic, so it’s relatively pain-free. If you feel nervous, your dentist may be able to offer sedation to put you at ease. Your bone and gums will need time to heal before attaching your replacement teeth, so we’ll fit you with some temporary teeth until you’re ready.
Fitting your replacement teeth
It’s normal to wait four to eight months for the implant to fully integrate with your jawbone, before your permanent, replacement teeth are fitted. They will be custom-made to fit the size, shape and colour of your existing teeth.
Aftercare
Keeping your implants clean and healthy is no more difficult than it is with your natural teeth. But if you find any areas tricky to reach, or if you come across any problems, we’re here to help. We’ll provide you with all the aftercare advice you need to have a successful implant.
No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
