What is the dental implant process?

You will see an experienced dentist for your consultation, who may undertake X-rays or scans, to assess your suitability.

Dental implants

Dental implants have been placed by dental professionals for over 40 years. They are widely regarded as the go-to tooth replacement procedure, whether you have one missing tooth or need a completely new smile.

A dental implant is a modern solution for replacing missing or damaged teeth. It involves a small titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone, which acts as a replacement for the root of a missing tooth. Over time, the implant fuses with the bone in a process called osseointegration, providing a stable base for a crown, bridge, or denture.

All-on-4

At Arnica dental care we are proud to be able to also offer our patients “all-on-4” treatment. This treatment provides a highly effective and efficient solution for those with severe tooth loss. Unlike removable dentures, dentures secured with four dental implants look, feel and function just like your natural healthy teeth when chewing food, talking and singing. They are durable and let you get on with your life and lifestyle without all the compromise and worry.

With fewer implants needed and the ability to provide a full set of functional teeth on the same day, this treatment offers a significant improvement in both oral function and aesthetics. It's important to consult with a qualified dentist or oral surgeon to determine if All-on-4 implants are right for you.

Zygomatic dental implants

Alongside “all-on-4” treatment we also offer Zygomatic dental implant surgery. The all-on-4 procedures with zygomatic implants gives you back your natural smile, restoring your confidence and self-esteem, and it can be done in as little as a single day. We secure a full set of temporary replacement teeth to your upper arch, which look natural and feel comfortable.

Zygomatic implant is extra-long rear implants fixed into the cheekbone (zygomatic arch). Here they can reach additional, stronger bone to provide a more secure foundation, giving your replacement teeth better stability, if not enough substantial bone in the upper arch.
