Over 30 years’ experience in placing dental implants
At our practice, we’ve been placing dental implants for over 30 years. Our dedicated implant dentist, Sohail, has undertaken various postgraduate qualifications in the field and can treat both simple and complex implant cases.
Our dental implant treatments
We offer a full range of implant dentistry, from single and multiple implants to full-arch restorations. We can help you restore confidence in your smile whether you’re missing one or many teeth.
Sometimes, supporting treatments are needed before you have your implants placed. We’re experienced in both minor and major bone grafting and sinus lifts. We’re a multi-disciplinary centre, meaning you can have all your treatment at the practice without needing to be referred elsewhere.
Supporting treatments and technology
We have a CBCT scanner on-site to allow us to check your suitability and determine where your implants should be placed.
Looking after your implants is key to them being successful, which is why we put a focus on aftercare. Our dedicated hygienists will be on-hand to help you care for your implants in the long-term.
Dental implants from £2,400â€
At our practice, we offer a single dental implant from £2,400†, including a free* initial phone consultation with an experienced enquiry coordinator. If you’re interested in having implants, get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to help.
Implant procedure
Learn about the step-by-step treatment process for having dental implants, from your initial consultation right through to aftercare.
First, you’ll have a free* phone consultation with one of our dedicated treatment coordinators. We’ll talk you through your options, give you an indication of price and can book you in for an initial assessment with your implant dentist if you choose to go ahead.
Clinical assessment
Next, you’ll have a clinical assessment to make sure you’re eligible for treatment. Your dentist will take X-rays and decide exactly where your implants need to be placed. They’ll also talk you through the cost of treatment and let you know if you need a supporting treatment, such as a bone graft.
Placing your implants
This is where your dental implants are fixed into your jawbone. It’s a surgical procedure normally performed under local anaesthetic, so it’s relatively pain-free. If you feel nervous, your dentist may be able to offer sedation to put you at ease. Your bone and gums will need time to heal before attaching your replacement teeth, so we’ll fit you with some temporary teeth until you’re ready.
Fitting your replacement teeth
It’s normal to wait four to eight months for the implant to fully integrate with your jawbone, before your permanent, replacement teeth are fitted. They will be custom-made to fit the size, shape and colour of your existing teeth.
Aftercare
Keeping your implants clean and healthy is no more difficult than it is with your natural teeth. But if you find any areas tricky to reach, or if you come across any problems, we’re here to help. We’ll provide you with all the aftercare advice you need to have a successful implant.
Whitening can be an important part of a smile makeover. We always check the suitability of your teeth, as it may not be recommended for some patients with high sensitivity. It’s important to know that we may not be able to treat all of your teeth: whitening can’t alter the colour of fillings, crowns, veneers, for example. Your dentist can explain and suggest any options open to you.
We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.
Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.
