Phil qualified in 1986 with a BTEC National Diploma with merit in Dental Technology. He went on to receive diplomas in denturism from the George Brown college in Toronto, Canada and in clinical dental technology from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Dr Tamas is an experienced dentist with particular interest in dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. He qualified as a dentist in 2006 and has been placing implants ever since.

Theo also carried out two years of advance training in dental implants at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Upon graduating he was awarded the prestigious Advanced Diploma in Implant Dentistry. This qualification covers bone grafting and sinus lifts as well as placing and restoring dental implants. He went on to teach fellow dentists as a tutor for the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and the Royal College of Surgeons.

Theo is committed to his profession and has undertaken many years of postgraduate education and he keeps up to date with the latest techniques and products. He has an excellent nature with his patients and is passionate about providing quality care.

Shahin qualified as a dentist in Romania in 1997 and was accredited as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council in 2000. He is a member of the European Orthodontics Society and British Orthodontics Society.

Shahin joined our team in 2015 and also works in Dorchester, Christchurch and Basingstoke and has previously worked in Romania and Iran and as the Head of Orthodontics at a clinic in Tehran. He speaks several languages including English, Farsi, Romanian and Turkish.

With over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sector, Shahin provides orthopaedic and orthodontic therapies which include fixed and removable braces to treat crowded teeth and any functional problems, skeletal anomalies and orthosurgical issues. He also offers Invisalign treatment and lingual system options. He treats patients of all ages for orthodontic problems.

She then provided her services for a couple of years in a private practice in Kent, before settling in Dorset where she has been for the last 10 years.

After moving to the Poundbury area, she worked as a civilian hygienist for the military but in 2022 joined Bupa Dental Care part-time and now works between Bupa Dental Care Poundbury and the MOD. Chloe is extremely approachable and is very popular with our patients as a result of her kind and reassuring approach.

No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
