Jiten’s passion for dentistry began before he started his dental studies, when he was awarded a science bursary by the Nuffield Foundation and given the opportunity to work on a research project within Guy’s Hospital.

He then joined the three-year orthodontic postgraduate training programme at Cardiff Dental Hospital. Jiten was awarded an MSc in Orthodontics with distinction, as well as Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Jiten’s research has been presented at local and international conferences, winning a prize at the International Orthodontic Conference in 2015. Jiten enjoys spending time with his patients to ensure they fully understand all aspects of their treatment, and aims to provide a relaxed environment for all.

Born and raised in Greece, Michail moved to the UK after finishing his postgraduate education at New York University in 2010 where he worked as a dentist with an interest in periodontology and implant dentistry.

Michail continues to further his education while working at Bupa Dental Care Sevenoaks. In 2012, he joined the periodontology department at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute as a part-time postgraduate student where he works on research projects with a focus on periodontitis.

After qualifying as a dental surgeon in India in 2002, Naveed worked in a teaching hospital for a year before relocating to the UK. Here, he completed a master’s in oral pathology at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Upon completing a Statutory Examination in 2008, Naveed joined the Sevenoaks Practice. He has continued to further his education and gained a diploma of membership of the joint dental faculties (The Royal College of Surgeons of England) in May 2012.

No, orthodontics for adults is becoming more and more common. We can talk through your options with you.

We do understand that some people really struggle with dental treatment. But we have lots of ways to help put you at ease. Please just tell us how you feel and what worries you, and then we can work together to decide on the right approach.

Generally we recommend twice yearly check-ups every six months. However, this varies on a case by case basis. Your Bupa Dental Care dentist will talk to you about when and how often we need to see you.

Fillings repair small holes in your tooth enamel. If they aren’t filled, the decay will deepen. You’ll start to feel pain, and you could end up needing root canal treatment, which is much more significant and costs more. So although you might not feel pain right now, it’s best to repair these holes as soon as possible.
