Business medical plans

From private medical insurance to health checks, there are lots of ways you can offer healthcare to your team.

Business employee medical insurance

We have three levels of  health insurance cover for small businesses in our Select health insurance offering: Key, Enhanced and Complete. If you take out our private health insurance, your employees will receive mental health and full cancer cover*. They’ll also have access to our 24/7 Anytime HealthLine, a confidential service where you can speak to qualified nurses over the phone. Other benefits of our private medical insurance include:

  • Cover for eligible out-patient consultations and treatments
  • Eligible in-patient and day patient treatment, including diagnostic tests and scans

*With Bupa cancer cover there are no time limits and all your eligible treatment costs are paid in full for as long as you have Bupa health insurance. If your employer has selected an overall annual maximum benefit, eligible costs will be paid up to that limit. You must use a healthcare facility from your chosen Bupa network and a Bupa recognised consultant who agrees to charge within our limits (a fee-assured consultant).

Business health assessments

A business health assessment is an opportunity for your employees to get an overview of their health. They will receive support and advice about what they can do to improve their health from qualified doctors and trained health advisers.

A business health assessment has lots of benefits. These include:

  • A set of in-depth tests and measures appropriate for the individual
  • A targeted physical examination with a doctor, along with time to talk through any health concerns
  • Time with a health advisor to discuss your lifestyle and how you can reduce future health risks
  • Access to our MyBupa portal, which holds your personalised report and results. You’ll also have access to four 12 week online coaching programmes
  • Follow-up lifestyle coaching sessions on the phone with our coaching team
  • Access to our Anytime HealthLine, which gives you 24/7 access to nurses and doctors

Occupational health services

An occupational health service helps to support your employee’s mental wellbeing.

Our employee assistance programme gives your team access to confidential counselling. Here they can discuss any worries or concerns they may have with a specialist or expert. It doesn’t have to be a health concern; the team offer guidance for personal issues too, such as parenting, money management and legal matters. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may consider an occupational health solution for your business because:

  • It offers your team support for any issues that’s affecting their mental health
  • It can improve morale in the workplace
  • Dependants and partners living at the same address also have access to this service
